I am a Bicycle Repair Specialist with 20 years experience operating within a 25 mile radius of Forres in Moray. For your convenience I will come to you to collect your bike, take it to my private custom built workshop, make it like new, then return it back to you as soon as possible.

Pricing

I always price any work before starting a repair. This way you will know exactly what you will be getting and a detailed understanding of the condition of your bike. This can only be done with me having seen your bike.

My hourly rate is £45.

For £50 (1 Hour + Cleaners, Lube & Grease) I will fully clean, inspect & service all aspects of your bike giving you complete peace of mind that your bike is as good as it can be.

Any parts needed or works more than an hour would be extra.

Minimum Charge is £15

Exceptions

I do work on the mechanical aspect of eBikes but I do not carry out diagnostics or electrical repair works to them.

I do not service Suspension Fork & Shocks in house but I can arrange for TF Tuned, a recognised specialist to carry out works on your behalf.

Bicycle Collection & Return

I offer a collection & return service within a 25 mile catchment radius of Forres.

I will come to you at home, work or an agreed location.

Your bike will be carefully transported to my workshop, repair works agreed and carried out before being returned back to you.

My aim is to always work on your bike the same day that I collect it and return it back to you as soon as possible, usually within 24hours.

About Me - Matt @ Matt's Bike Workshop

Matt's Bike Workshop Ltd. was established in January 2018. I, Matt have nearly 20 years of experience working in the cycle industry, both in retail & distribution. During this period I have gained knowledge & experience in selling, advising, repairing, maintaining, building & customising bikes of all genres.

Prior to me joining the career of my passion, I was a Construction Manager working from Oxford, Dubai & Qatar dealing with the daily workings of some major building projects. I have always had a love of bicycles and whilst in Dubai at the time of the credit crunch, I was given the opportunity to work for what is now the largest bicycle distribution company in the Middle East. I was very privileged to go to Taiwan to see how Giant make their bicycles first hand, set up trade stands at large events and exhibitions in Dubai and manage a number of retail units within the city.

On returning to the UK and wanting a change from the Construction and Distribution sectors, I joined the team at Stuart's Cycles in Forres. Here I acted as an advisor in all things bike & gained a huge amount of knowledge and experience in the world of bicycle repair. All good things come to an end and I have now branched out to offer you my services with Matt's Bike Workshop Ltd.

Over the years I have developed a great understanding for the different types of bikes available, the components available, what they were designed to do and what might work best for the individuals riding them. Technology has changed and continues to do so. I am willing and able to learn to keep up, which is essential in the ever changing cycle industry.

I am an avid cyclist, self-confessed fettler and perfectionist. I ride both on & off road for the enjoyment of being outdoors and for seeing the world from the saddle, day and night.

Based in Moray I love to ride in this awesome landscape made perfectly for 2 wheels. I am a firm believer in that you can never have too many tools or indeed bikes, so I pride myself in having the right tool for any job, big or small.

My priority is always making your bike a good as it can be. I only source quality parts from cycle industry recognised distribution companies & retailers.
